Fanstastic looking car David.

What happened with the body after the crash? Impossible to get it straight?

Tack :) A MINI tuning company over here bought Casper off me, I think everything has now been straightened on it and it will race again in 2011 :D I've asked them for some photos of the repairs so I'll post them up when I get them...

Great looking mcs David, i suppose it moved alot better than the contryman you drove up to the Arctic hehe. Cool that they repaired him and that he's gonna be out racing on the courses again, always nice to hear :)

Poor Casper but as you say he has gone to a good home and the new owners will let him come out and play and do what he loves to do best 8)

I am glad you were ok - some damage to Casper there, mate

Thanks again :) Originally I was going to take Casper to the Arctic but it's lucky we got the Countryman otherwise I think we'd still be stuck in the snow now :o :D

The strength of the MINI was amazing and saved my life. I did have to go to hospital for checks - I was fine but I've had neck problems since the crash, this was because I forgot to wear my neck brace  So for anyone that does track days or takes part in the MINI Cup I'd suggest buying one, just incase :)

David, is it the HANS device you refer to?
Use of protective things is a must (says a non-racer like me) but better safe than sorry.

You were lucky there, David!

I couldn't afford HANS so I got one of these: OMP Nomex Neck Brace (http://www.rallynuts.com/motorsport-neck-safety-hans-devices/omp-nomex-neck-brace.html).. I had a side impact which caused my neck to be thrown violently from one side to the other, if I'd be wearing it the neck brace would of helped stop this motion..

I was very lucky!

It's like the old cliché:

If you can't afford the right safety equipment, you don't afford to go racing

Very lucky indeed! Glad to hear you are ok :)

That's how it is in Time Attack - 90% of people don't have HANS, some even run without a roll cage! Crazy...

I always feel sad when I see a MINI crashed or damaged. Glad you're okey, you can always get another MINI but not a new you.
