Jag tror att den måste klara godkänt hos Svensk Bilprovning.
Men det är nog bäst du frågar någon som sitter i reglementsgruppen. ;)

Jag uppfattar det som att de flesta av dessa R53:or som nu är till salu är 2008:or.
Stämmer det?
Eller är det det angivna tävlingsåret de var aktuella? I så fall,vilket år är det som de senast kan vara byggda?

My testdrive of a MINI Challenge R53 back in October 2008 together with Fredrik Lestrup was a blast and by far the coolest MINI I have ever driven so far (my R56 S lined up on the grid beside the MINI Challengecar on the first piccie below)!

That's brilliant Fredrik, I'd love to test drive a Challenge car! My Casper is probably as close as I'll ever get to it, unless I get a better job this year to allow me to buy one.

Casper sure looked like as close to a MINI Challenge racer as possible could be, David - to bad he is not in your possession any more, but if the photos on FB are correct you are driving another fun car today 8)

A bit uncertain at the moment if Lestrup will drive MINI Challenge next year in Germany. I asked a Q on the MINI Challenge FB page if they had a drivers list for 2011 ready yet, and got the reply that it will not be settled until March I think, but I hope both Lestrup, Daniel Haglöf and Richard Trange lines up for the Challenge.
Haglöf will also drive the Porsche Carrera Cup in Sweden as he did in 2006 - he finished second overall back then, so Danny sure knows how to handle a racecar!

Sounds good Fredrik, I hope they all race this year..

It's nice that MINI Challenge is officially supported by BMW in mainland Europe.. Over here the MINI Challenge has nothing to do with BMW MINI, therefore the R56 cars are fitted with aftermarket products not JCW. It's a shame although it meant we had R50s, R53s & R56s racing last year which made things interesting! It seems crazy that the country MINIs are built in don't get official cars or support from BMW.

If the German MINI Challenge is going to the Nürburgring this year I'll try and be there :)
