Orginal avgassystem

Hur stort är ett orginal avgassystem? Skulle vilja byta ut mitt kromade slutrör till orginal då jag anser att det jag har är för stort, men jag misstänker att inte mitt avgassystem är orginal. Jag har försökt mäta omkretsen på avgassystemet och kommit fram till att det är ca 1,9 tum och slutrören är nästan 3 tum. Är avgassystemen så stora orginal?

Eh, byt inte till orginalärtrören. Dina pipor ser lite skumma ut, ersätt dem med riktiga Worksslutrör istället så får du precis lagom stora.

En lite kuriosastory om original slutrör på MCS:en (kanske även MC?)...

Då designteamet hade slitit dygnet runt med lermodellen i fullskala, inför premiärvisningen för beslutsfattarna, kom de i sista stund på att de totalt glömt bort en detalj.

De hade kämpat så mycket med karossformerna och lermodellen, att de totalt glömt bort avgaspipor!

Och snart var det gryning och dags för visning!

Designchefen tittade sig omkring i lokalen och fann ett par urdruckna Budweisser ölburkar... Kvickt skar de ut och formade uttag i karossen och tryckte dit två kromsprayade ölburkar som avgaspipor.


Som vi alla ju redan vet och instämmer i, så blev det klart godkänt för Nya MINI. Beslutsfattarna beordrade "Ändra ingenting!"

Och naturligtvis visste de ingenting om den stulna ölburksdesignen till piporna.
Så det blev till att mörka hela vägen...

Och visst, de är både snygga och ölburkslika i sin utformning!

Läste också den lilla anekdoten. Han som satt dit ölburkarna hade väl inte trott att killen som fick till uppgift att designa avgassystemet skulle ta han så på orden. Att han lät dom se likadana ut som ölburkar i produktion.

Du får gärna mäta omkretsen på ditt avgassystem. Som sagt, jag mätte mitt till drygt 2 tum och är nyfiken på om Workspiporna skulle passa på det.

I have not been home until know, therefore no pictures, but here you go. It´s not the best pictures but it´s a start.

I didn´t know that it was 197 hp in my car. I like it a lot :p But i would like to change the exhaustpipes to something else, do you think workspipes would fit?

Have you done anyting more than the exhaust with the car? Do you remember hove many miles you hade it for?

This is the only electronicaly tuned mini that i have done.

The ECU is upgraded by BSR
Green line air filter
S.C.R.A.M mapping
Bosten injection system by summet racing
H&R springs
One off exaust by Raka rör + cat

But when i sold it i changed the car for a JCW cooper s
and they told me at BMW that they wanted it back to original.
so i took away the H&R kit and the painted wheel arches, but i left the tunning kit and the exaust on the car.

If you look at the spec sheet on your car you will find that you dont have CURRY or CHILLI packet on your car , But you have many expensive extras instead.

both seats ajustment
12 airbags

I´m no expert in tuning so i don´t understand everything you done. But i don´t have any extra lights and i didn´t think i had a diff.

No! they will not!!!!!

The exuast you have is welded at the end pipes.

Jag trodde inte diff fanns som tillval på de första bilarna utan det kom som tillval efter faceliften som kom 2004-2005? Stämmer det?

Minin brukar dra loss på bägge även utan diff, vet att Daniel ritade två svarta streck på åtminstonde 20-30meter :).
